I’m a firm believer that there are immense and often overlooked benefits of working out of shared workspaces.
In 2012 I fell for the sales pitch of what coworking could do, and landed up being the only person on the whole floor.
A few months and an unprecedented European bank bail-in later, I found myself converting rapidly-vacated offices into makeshift workspaces for the creative and suddenly-unemployed people around me. It was here that I learned about how true coworking can empower and enable local ecosystems, even in the 💩iest situations.
Over the last few years, I’ve pretty much gone all-in on supporting these workspaces, their operators and the amazing communities within them.
As an individual, you’ll often find me:
- Giving talks to young businesses on the often-hidden benefits of shared workspaces.
- Sharing observations on how shared workspaces affects how business grow worldwide.
- Making noise about how/why governments should support coworking spaces.
Through my work at included.co, I aim to help coworking spaces (and other entrepreneurial communities) become even more sustainable, attractive and valuable for young businesses.
